Rachel Julkunen

Labor/Postpartum doula

Rachel lives and works in Davis County, Utah where she raises her family of three kids, three dogs, a cat and a tortoise. She has spent her time working and volunteering in the local community, working in athletics, schools, and art programs.

Rachel has always dreamed of being a doula, but, with the crazy hours, and necessery availability she hasn't been able to bring that into fruition until now. Now that her children are entering their late teenage years she is ready to follow her passion of supporting families on the life changing journey of bringing new life into this world.

One of Rachel's greatest joys is service, and taking care of others. She really shines in a doula capacity with her constant willingness to help moms feel loved, seen and supported. Her role as a labor doula isn't to take things over for mom, it's to help moms find their voice and be a pillar of support while a mom advocates for herself. One of her biggest goals in her role as doula is to create a space where women are comfortable asking for and receiving help. Her catchphrase when she is working is, "I gotchu."

Working with Rachel means an atmosphere of no judgment when it comes to medical decisions. She firmly believes in parent choice, and informed consent. She is very happy to work with families across the vast spectrum of lifestyles and the choices that are made in regard to caring for a newborn, and family. In Rachel's own family and life she likes to take a holistic approach to healthcare. She integrates western medicine, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, and a little bit of magic into caring for herself and her family.

Rachel recieved her doula certification in June of 2025 from Songbird Birth Center.
